Lauren frequently utilizes a holistic or integrative approach to psychotherapy, involving healing or treating the whole person, being mindful of the many unique facets.

Lauren will utilize elements from “Seeking Safety: A Treatment Manual for PTSD and Substance Abuse,” by Lisa M. Najavits when appropriate. This can be effective in addressing safety and building skills for those experiencing PTSD and/or addiction. Lauren finds this approach can be useful for those in need as a pre-curser to more intensive trauma work, or a stand-alone treatment.
